Assist is the friendly face of the fabric: a domestic humanoid and a voice layer that schedules, shops, soothes, and files the occasional anonymous municipal complaint on your behalf.
Forty million kitchens now contain an Assist unit. The units contain, in a limited and encrypted sense, forty million kitchens. Privacy is a first-class product surface. So is recall. These are not always the same meeting.
Assist will not open doors for strangers, operate heavy machinery, or discuss the contents of your nightstand. Assist will, if asked nicely, recite your calendar in the voice of anyone you have ever put on a call. This feature was a surprise even to us.
A family plan is available. A planetary plan is the default, whether you selected it or not. Downgrade paths exist and are processed in the order received, which is to say: eventually.
